Tourism Council WA Backs New South Coast Marine Park Initiative – Travel And Tour World

The Tourism Council of Western Australia has expressed its support for the State Government’s initiative to establish a South Coast Marine Park, highlighting its potential to enhance eco-tourism opportunities.

Evan Hall, the Chief Executive Officer, has endorsed the creation of National and Marine Parks as a means to safeguard the environment while ensuring that visitors can continue to enjoy and appreciate Western Australia’s pristine natural landscapes.

According to Mr. Hall, the Council is in favor of the preliminary management strategies that aim to preserve existing access to beaches and coastlines for activities such as camping.

Furthermore, the Council advocates for the continuation of all present and future sustainable marine tourism activities, which are crucial for allowing visitors to experience the marine ecosystem without causing harm.

Before finalizing its recommendations on the management plans for the South Coast Marine Park, the Tourism Council WA plans to consult with its members.
