Embark on Luxury: Hotel Gabrielli’s Debut in Venice Five-Star Scene – Travel And Tour World

Introducing a thrilling new era in Venetian hospitality, Starhotels unveils the meticulously crafted redesign plans for Hotel Gabrielli. Nestled within the historic 13th-century palazzo and its adjoining six structures, this restoration project promises to revive the essence of Venetian heritage.

Situated prominently along Riva degli Schiavoni, with captivating vistas of Isola di San Giorgio, Hotel Gabrielli is poised to reclaim its status as Venice’s crown jewel upon its anticipated reopening in early 2025. Since its establishment in 1856, the hotel, owned and operated by the Perkhofer family for five generations, has been synonymous with familial warmth and has hosted an array of luminaries from the realms of art, literature, fashion, and politics. Renowned as a pivotal stop during the Grand Tour, it was a favored retreat for Orient-Express voyagers prior to their journeys.

Leading the charge into this new chapter are Starhotels and Salvatore Pisani, the appointed Complex General Manager of Starhotels Venice hotels, along with Milanese designer Andrea Auletta. Together, they endeavor to infuse the property with a contemporary twist while preserving its quintessential Venetian charm. Auletta and his team are diligently preserving the hotel’s unique character, crafting interiors steeped in nostalgia, history, and tradition.

Elisabetta Fabri, President and CEO of Starhotels, comments “When you’re in this location, everything breathes history and charm. We want to write the new chapter of the famous Hotel Gabrielli, creating an intriguing and whimsical atmosphere, a very classical Venetian experience with contemporary comfort.”

Central to the renovation is a commitment to restoring the property’s original allure while introducing modern elegance. From the revival of exquisite Quadrifora windows and ancient courtyard columns to the incorporation of luxurious fabrics from esteemed local brands, every detail reflects a dedication to authenticity and craftsmanship. The color palette, inspired by the hues of the sea and sky visible from the hotel, envelops guests in a serene ambiance.

With a focus on spaciousness and comfort, the room count has been reduced to 73, ensuring ample living space for guests. Each room is thoughtfully designed for contemporary living, featuring distinct areas for sleeping, lounging, and dressing. The Presidential Suite, boasting a private altana, offers unparalleled panoramic views of Venice and the lagoon.

Embracing a holistic approach to luxury, the hotel will house a Mediterranean restaurant on the ground floor, complemented by inviting public spaces for dining and cocktails. A Venetian garden and a rooftop terrace with a Sky Bar afford enchanting views and sensory experiences.

Additionally, an intimate spa on the noble floor will provide exclusive treatments, a cozy gym, and a private sanctuary for rejuvenation.

Salvatore Pisani, Complex General Manager of Splendid Venice and Hotel Gabrielli, adds “We are bringing Hotel Gabrielli back to life and we can’t wait to show the hotel next year. Its excellent location away from the busy tourist areas but within easy reach of Piazza San Marco, the new Gabrielli will be the place for exclusive events, dreamy ceremonies, and the ultimate travel experience.”

Scheduled to debut in early 2025, the reimagined Hotel Gabrielli, a part of Starhotels Collezione, endeavors to redefine Venetian elegance for the modern era, epitomizing a fusion of heritage and contemporary luxury.
