WestJet Cargo has launched Campus’Air, a new service tailored to meet the shipping needs of students and university staff. This initiative expands WestJet Cargo’s service offerings, specifically designed to support the academic community with affordable shipping solutions.

Campus’Air underscores WestJet Cargo’s dedication to community investment and advancing Canada’s future. As part of this program, eligible students and employees from selected Canadian universities can benefit from a substantial 50% discount on standard freight rates for domestic shipments of personal items. This discount aims to ensure accessibility and cost-effectiveness, simplifying the logistics of shipping for students and faculty alike.

“At WestJet Cargo, we recognize the unique challenges faced by students and university staff in transporting their personal belongings,” said Kirsten De Bruijn, WestJet Cargo, Executive Vice President. “Campus’Air is our way of supporting the academic community, providing them with an affordable, reliable shipping solution that underscores our commitment to fostering education and community development across Canada.”

To avail of the Campus’Air discount, applicants must be actively enrolled students or employed staff members of the partnered universities. Requests for shipping estimates can be initiated through direct contact with the WestJet Cargo customer service center.

Typically, shipments are processed promptly and expected to reach their destinations within 24 hours, pending flight schedules and available connections.

Currently, the Campus’Air program exclusively covers domestic shipments. WestJet Cargo welcomes inquiries from students at universities not yet included, with potential future expansion opportunities in mind.
